Pub Talk Re-Cap: News from Halligan Reservoir & North Fork of the Poudre River

News from Halligan Reservoir & North Fork of the Poudre River was the topic of the first Pub Talk hosted at The Forks Mercantile and Saloon on August 9th, 2023. Darren Parkin, Halligan Water Supply Project Manager for the City of Fort Collins Utility, gave a presentation on the Proposed Halligan Reservoir Expansion and Effects on the River. Topics covered included: status of the proposed reservoir expansion, Fish and Wildlife Mitigation Plan, Preble’s Mouse Mitigation Plan, components of Environmental Impact Statement, and what’s next in the process. Over 30 community members enjoyed a happy hour before the talk and appetizers sponsored by Wild Birds Unlimited. Information Tables were hosted by the North Fork Poudre SCT, land management and conservation organizations.
